Inclusive Insights Mental Health Counseling, PLLC is an inclusive, justice-oriented psychotherapy practice committed to providing affirming, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed mental health care. Our work centers those most impacted by systemic harm, including queer, trans, disabled, chronically ill, Black, Indigenous, BIPOC, and other marginalized communities.

We are seeking clinicians (LMHC's, MHC-LP's, LMFT's) who are aligned with our values and interested in joining a collaborative, ethical, and autonomy-respecting clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds and identities, a deep understanding of the unique challenges and needs of the BIPOC, LGBTQ+, & marginalized communities, and is committed to a decolonized and anti-racist approach to therapy.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to all clients centered around those from marginalized groups specifically those who identify as BIPOC, queer, transgender, gender non-conforming, and/or non-binary

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients' mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans

  • Offer culturally sensitive and affirming therapy that respects clients' identities and experiences

  • Collaborate with clients to address trauma, discrimination, and other systemic barriers that impact their mental health

  • Advocate for clients' rights and access to resources within the mental health system

  • Stay current on best practices in anti-racist, decolonized, LGBTQ+ mental health care and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities

  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care to clients

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation

  • Collaborate with administrative staff and other clinicians when appropriate

  • Uphold all NYSED, HIPAA, and professional ethical standards

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in counseling, marriage and family therapy, or related field

  • Intern, Permit/permit eligible, licensed or license-eligible mental health counselor in New York State.

  • Experience working with marginalized- intersectional populations, LGBTQ+ individuals, particularly queer, transgender, and gender non-conforming clients

  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care, intersectionality, and social justice frameworks

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Commitment to ongoing self-reflection, anti-racism, and decolonization in practice

  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse client population and within a team setting

Requirements:

  • Active, unrestricted NYS license in one of the professions listed above

  • Professional liability insurance

  • Ability to practice independently within your scope

  • Commitment to ethical and inclusive care

  • Reliable internet and private space for telehealth
