Therapy that makes room for your full self.
Individual therapy at Inclusive Insights Counseling centers slowing down, honoring your lived experience, and building a more compassionate and empowered relationship with yourself. We work collaboratively—grounded in your intersectionality, your values, and the realities of the systems you move through.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, identity exploration, trauma, chronic stress, relationship patterns, burnout, or life transitions, therapy can support you in creating more choice and steadiness—without requiring you to “perform wellness” or prove you’re struggling enough to deserve care.
You don’t have to do life alone.
Who individual therapy is for
Individual therapy may be a good fit if you are:
Feeling stuck in patterns that don’t reflect who you are or what you want
Living with anxiety, intrusive thoughts, overwhelm, or constant “on edge” energy
Experiencing low mood, grief, numbness, or exhaustion
Navigating trauma, complex trauma, or survival responses that show up in your body
Exploring identity (gender, sexuality, culture, spirituality, relationships, belonging)
Carrying the impact of oppression, marginalization, or intergenerational stress
Seeking support for boundaries, self-trust, communication, or relational repair
Managing chronic illness, disability, pain, or medical trauma in a system that often fails people
A therapist/healer needing a space to step out of the role of provider and tend to their own inner work in a place to slow down, reflect, and be supported without needing to perform expertise
You are welcome here if you are queer, trans, nonbinary, questioning, disabled, chronically ill, neurodivergent, fat, a person of color, Indigenous, an immigrant, and/or navigating intersecting identities. We aim to provide affirming care while staying accountable to ongoing learning.
How we work
Our approach is relational, trauma-informed, and collaborative. We move at a pace that supports nervous system safety and choice. Therapy here is not about fixing you—it’s about supporting you in understanding your experience, strengthening your capacity, and building a life that feels more aligned.
Depending on your needs and preferences, sessions may include:
Supportive psychotherapy and reflective processing
Skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and grounding
Somatic-based strategies (body awareness, nervous system support)
Cognitive and behavioral tools for anxiety, mood, and habit patterns
Identity-affirming exploration and narrative work
Values-based goal setting and practical planning
Boundary work, communication support, and relational skill-building
We will talk openly about what feels helpful, what doesn’t, and what you want therapy to be.
What you can expect
In individual therapy, you can expect a space that is:
Warm and direct—compassionate and honest
Nonjudgmental and non-assumptive—your identity and experience are not up for debate
Collaborative—you are the expert on you
Context-aware—we take capitalism, oppression, and systemic harm seriously
Practical when needed—we can work with coping tools and real-life steps, not just insight
