Inclusive Insights Counseling honors that our practice operates on the stolen, unceded lands of Indigenous peoples — land that continues to hold the memory, presence, and sovereignty of its original stewards.

In Rochester, New York, we acknowledge the territories of the Seneca Nation, Keepers of the Western Door of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, which also includes the Cayuga, Onondaga, Oneida, Mohawk, and Tuscarora peoples. Across New York State, we recognize the interconnected lands and waters tended by many nations, including the Mohican, Munsee Lenape, and Abenaki peoples to the east, the Cayuga and Onondaga at the center, and the Seneca and Tuscarora to the west.

In Florida, we acknowledge the lands of the Seminole, Miccosukee, Calusa, Timucua, and other Indigenous peoples whose presence endures despite centuries of displacement and erasure. Their cultural, ecological, and spiritual connections to these lands remain vital and ongoing.

We affirm that acknowledgement without action is insufficient. We seek to uphold Indigenous sovereignty and to challenge the colonial systems that continue to harm these communities.

We invite all who connect with our work to learn about the land they live on, honor Indigenous resistance and resilience, and participate in meaningful acts of repair and return.

From Words to Action

Acknowledgement without repair is insufficient. We commit to:

  • Supporting Indigenous sovereignty and Land Back efforts.

  • Contributing time and resources to Indigenous-led mental health and mutual aid projects.

  • Uplifting language revitalization and cultural preservation initiatives.

  • Building accountable partnerships guided by Native community priorities.
